Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is a part of the Department of Defense (DOD)and the JETS contract is in support of the DLA Information Operations J6, it is the Agency’s knowledge broker, providing comprehensive, best practice Information Technology (IT) support to the DOD and DLA Business Community resulting in high quality information systems, customer support, efficient and economical computing, data management, electronic business, and telecommunications services.
Responsibilities and Duties
We are seeking individuals who know how to resolve problems with software programming and who can respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements to existing applications. The successful candidates may act as team leader on their projects, which means that prior lead experience is desired. This person will participate in the development of software user manuals, based on any modifications made to the environment and user functionality. They will assist their team mates by instruction, assign work duties and direct the tasks to meet requirements and timelines dictated by the Task Order Project Manager. This person will act as a Peer Reviewer and check the work of other software developers on development team, providing guidance as necessary. The successful Candidate(s) will understand cybersecurity methodologies and principles as it relates to software development.
Roles and team dynamics:
The Software Developer will be a full-time, direct hire for BMA and will be working on the DLA JETS program; this is an offsite position.
Qualifications and Skills
Serious applicants must possess:
5 years experience in varying software environments including, but not limited to:
Certifications: MCSA, MCSD, C++, ACE, CSSLP, PCP, etc.
3 years of Project Lead experience
Strong documentation experience
Peer review experience
Security Clearance: Secret (privileged access requires TS)
