BMA is seeking an experienced Test Designer Senior to support the Army Evaluation Center (AEC) Soldier and Support Systems Evaluation Directorate (S3ED) Task Order. The Senior Test Designer will provide project level support across designated S3ED lines of operation to ensure comprehensive, integrated and synchronized task order support.
The Army Evaluation Center’s mission is to plan, support, conduct, and provide independent evaluations, assessments, and experiments in order to provide essential information to DoD acquisition decision-makers. AEC provides a disciplined approach to ensure efficient and rigorous testing leading to adequate evaluations of acquisition systems.
The mission of the Soldier and Support Systems Evaluation Directorate (S3ED) is to provide developmental test management, system safety verifications, and independent evaluations for assigned commodity areas that include, but are not limited to, mortars, missiles, and non-lethal munitions systems; infantry/Soldier systems; chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense systems; and force sustainment systems.
May serve as a working leader responsible for leading and providing technical advice and direction to lower graded personnel.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, monitoring work; ensuring product quality, accuracy, and timeliness; consolidating reports regarding status updates and billing; and reviewing collected data for completeness, accuracy, and validity.
Coordinates with others to assure all safety, security, environmental, and community concerns are adequately addressed.
Provide experience and familiarization with test design methods.
Provides test approaches and ensures successful implementation.
Identifies the appropriate techniques, tools and guidelines to implement the required tests, and gives guidance on the corresponding resources requirements for the test effort.
Provides specifies and verifies the required Test Environment Configurations.
Provides testing diagnostic, problem solving skills and have broad knowledge of hardware and software installation and setup
Serves as an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.
Provide test development, plan testing, reviewing the test design, or executing test design of military systems
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, mathematics, scientific or operational research specialization or related discipline plus 10 years experience in testing design
Experience in DoD integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and coordinated test and evaluation programs are required.
Must be familiar with DoD drawings, specifications practices, formats and procedures
Must have experience and success with the use of test automation tools, programming skills, and in-depth knowledge of the Army systems or applications-under-testing.
Must also demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last ten years (2007 to present) in any combination of the work defined below:
Demonstration of experience in developmental test (DT), operational test (OT), and evaluation methods for Army and Joint Service CBRND systems and programs.
Demonstration of experience with integrating Army and Joint Service system acquisition documentation in the development of DOD system acquisition products for T&E of CBRND systems and programs.
Demonstration of experience executing Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) methodologies and policies related to assessment of Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations and Advanced Technology Demonstrations for CBRND systems and programs
Demonstration of experience in the application of Army and Joint Service metrics at various stages of equipment development for CBRND systems and programs to include the planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing, and acceptance phases
Demonstration of experience in test methods, infrastructure, and capability gaps related to testing and processes of CBRND systems and programs
Demonstration of experience with both oral and written communication such as briefings, writing technical papers, etc. for CBRND systems and programs.
