BMA is seeking an experienced System Engineer Senior to support the Army Evaluation Center (AEC) Soldier and Support Systems Evaluation Directorate (S3ED) Task Order. The System Engineer Senior will provide project level support across designated S3ED lines of operation to ensure comprehensive, integrated and synchronized task order support.
The Army Evaluation Center’s mission is to plan, support, conduct and provide independent evaluations, assessments, and experiments in order to provide essential information to DoD acquisition decision-makers. AEC provides a disciplined approach to ensure efficient and rigorous testing leading to adequate evaluations of acquisition systems.
The mission of the Soldier and Support Systems Evaluation Directorate (S3ED) is to provide developmental test management, system safety verifications, and independent evaluations for assigned commodity areas that include, but are not limited to, mortars, missiles, and non-lethal munitions systems; infantry/Soldier systems; chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense systems; and force sustainment systems.
May serve as a working leader responsible for leading and providing technical advice and direction to lower graded personnel.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, monitoring work; ensuring product quality, accuracy, and timeliness; consolidating reports regarding status updates and billing; and reviewing collected data for completeness, accuracy, and validity.
Coordinates with others to assure all safety, security, environmental, and community concerns are adequately addressed.
Performs high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex application that require a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills.
Participates in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases.
Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solution.
Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results.
Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required.
Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline plus at least seven years experience in the area of system development and/or developmental/operational testing of DoD systems.
Must also demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last ten years (2007 to present) in any combination of the work defined below:
Demonstration of experience in developmental test (DT), operational test (OT), and evaluation methods for Army and Joint Service CBRND systems and programs.
Demonstration of experience with integrating Army and Joint Service system acquisition documentation in the development of DOD system acquisition products for T&E of CBRND systems and programs.
Demonstration of experience executing Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) methodologies and policies related to assessment of Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations and Advanced Technology Demonstrations for CBRND systems and programs
Demonstration of experience in the application of Army and Joint Service metrics at various stages of equipment development for CBRND systems and programs to include the planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing, and acceptance phases
Demonstration of experience in test methods, infrastructure, and capability gaps related to testing and processes of CBRND systems and programs
Demonstration of experience with both oral and written communication such as briefings, writing technical papers, etc. for CBRND systems and programs.
Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
