                                        Telecommunications Designer

Job Summary:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Responsible for design, drafting, and specifying of complex building technology systems.
  2. Works in conjunction with senior-level team members, is responsible for assisting with all aspects of building technology system designs.
  3. The BICSI RCDD (Telecom Designer) will be present for all site surveys.
  4. Review all upgraded infrastructure for adherence to standards.
  5. Perform random checks of all aspects of infrastructure.
  6. During the final inspection process, develop a punch list of items that need correction to accomplish certification.
  7. Conduct final walk-through with the customer representative for acceptance.

Serious applicants must possess:

  1. Must have a four-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  2. Must have 8 years’ progressive telecommunications experience. 
  3. Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance  
  4. Must have a current BICSI RCDD Certification. 
  5. Experience with communicating between Government customers, executives and senior leadership, and support management and staff. 
  6. Strong planning skills, with an ability to design, develop and deliver high-quality plans created through collaboration 
  7. The designer must have recent experience in the design of voice and data communications systems, audio visual systems, electronic security systems, and/or other Information Transport Systems.  
  8. Applicants must be self-motivated, enjoy a collaborative environment and have experience with AutoCAD or Revit, and Microsoft Office..
